This beautiful 4-star hotel offers picturesque views overlooking the Texas Hill Country.

Inspired by the old western and Mexican heritage, the resort has touches of limestones and rustic elements put together that calls your attention as soon as you stepped in to the entrance. La Cantera Resort & Spa sits atop San Antonio, overlooking Texas Hill Country. The resort is as expansive as the view. It includes gorgeous landscaped terraces, five pools including a kids’ pool with splash and waterslides, and one adult-only infinity Topaz pool with picturesque views overlooking the Texas Hill Country. To say they have a pool complex is an understatement – it's more like a water park!

It also has private cabanas you could rent. There are also a lot of fire pit seating for small socializing and chillaxin’ at night, as well as lounge options. The hotel is also perfect for families and golfers — having two championship golf courses – one a regular PGA Tour stop, and the other was designed by Arnold Palmer, and kids club.

Take note that they charge you $32/day resort fee that covers resort activities, including shuttle service within a 3-mile radius of the property.

The property also has a few dining restaurants on site, in fact there are 9 of them:

  • Signature

  • Sweetfire Kitchen

  • Primero Cantina

  • Sire Bar

  • Bocado

  • Topaz

  • Vista Grille

  • Palmer Grille

  • Grille 254

It's no surprise that this resort has been consistently in the top 10 list best resorts in the Lone Star state, and top 5 list for best resorts in San Antonio.

My room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, and he bathroom was very clean.

Overall, resort is simply beautiful and the service has been excellent, and staff were friendly. Definitely a must for a getaway in San Antonio.
